Thank you for sending out a reminder of the benefits of belonging to a Credit Union. We had just bought 2 new cars from a friend of mine who works at a car dealer. We got what we thought was a fair price financing. We didn’t read everything in the agreement, as we trusted our friend and we got a payment we liked. So we signed everything.
We got a letter in the mail telling about the rates at the Credit Union and we looked at our papers. Our loan at the dealer was over 11%. We called the Credit Union right away and refinanced both cars and saved over $100.00 per month on the new loans. We liked the payment so we kept it the same but because we went with the Credit Union they will be paid off a year earlier. I don’t think we will ever finance another vehicle anywhere but at the Credit Union.
